I am working on ocean biogeochemistry and ocean modelling at the Geophysical Institute. I am especially interested in the foundational, mathematical and computational aspects that are used to model the world.

Even though there is good expertise on Unix at the IT department, anyone can clearly see that UiB is Microsoft-centric and apparently likes to lock itself in into more and more proprietary technologies. My sporadic contributions on this wiki are meant for better computing for UiB's employees and students.
